James Morgan
James is a specialist MSK and sports physiotherapist with over 20 years of experience across a variety of sectors including NHS, Sport, Occupational Health and ergonomics and a number of private settings. He has worked in elite and professional sport and has a special interest in Crossfit and running injuries as well as chronic pain conditions.
James has extensive post-graduate training in an extended range of techniques and treatment approaches. His passion for the use of evidence-based practice and commitment to helping people overcome pain and injury in the long term, rather than temporary quick fixes, gimmicks and short term ‘fool’s gold’ led to forging his own path with Barefoot Physio. A philosophy born out of the desire to depart from a conveyor belt fashion of high patient turnover, choosing quality over quantity. James developed a reputation for being able to help where previous treatments failed. His services soon became sought after enough to relocate to a bespoke facility and evolve barefoot to become a holistic multidisciplinary clinic.
James has developed a specialist interest in the pelvis and the role it plays in movement, pain and rehabilitation. He has undertaken postgraduate training in the treatment of persistent pelvic pain, pelvic floor dysfunction and exercise-related pelvic health concerns. James also supports patients experiencing pelvic girdle pain during pregnancy and provides guidance around exercise during pregnancy and the postpartum period, helping individuals return to movement with confidence and improved comfort.

I recently went to see James regarding a long term issue with my shoulder. He was extremely helpful in explaining the mechanisms which have caused my reoccurring pain. Over a series of weeks James provided me a progressive physio plan which he adapted when new issues came to light. I would highly recommend James for anyone looking for a physiotherapist.Posted on Google![]()

I tore my meniscus and the team at Barefoot managed to get me in on the same day. James Morgan knew exactly what to do and later that day I felt so much better. Quick, responsive and skilled, these guys are great!Posted on Google![]()

James and the team looked after me when I injured my knee. He listened to what I required and set out a simple and effective set of exercises to rehab me back to working order. The instructional videos were particularly helpful. Would definitely recommend.Posted on Google![]()

I was referred to Barefoot following a recurrence to an old knee injury. James and Jake were highly professional and inspired confidence. More importantly, I have been able to start running again; something I thought I might never do at one stage. I recommend Barefoot physio very highly.Posted on Google![]()

I saw James regarding my Achilles problems which I have been suffering with for a while, I found him very knowledgeable and informative. My only regret Is that I didn't make the appointment sooner. After a proper diagnosis James gave me an exercise plan to follow which he emailed to me, Just by having the correct information I am now well on my way to recovery, I would 100% recommend Barefoot Physio and will definitely return there should I need to in the future.Posted on Google![]()
